Mahdi Rakhsha

Mahdi Rakhsha (@mahdirakhsha.lp) is a 20-years-old Iranian filmmaker based in Tehran. He directed his debut short “Ragged Coat of Nightmare” in 2022. Since then, he directed several short projects including video arts for plays and sculpture galleries. His filmmaking style is surreal and dreamlike and includes a violent approach to matters. He works on mythical and magical realist type of film-making and addresses personal and social complications.

He is currently in an artistic group called “Tab’e” (@_taabee_) with fellow Iranian artists that work on film and media.
