Rima Lyn

Rima Lyn (aka Rima Delane) was born in Brooklyn, NY. She grew up in Greenwich Village, and happened to live next door to the renown HB Studios on Bank Street. Her mother signed her up for a class at age 8. She remembers 'being a tree,' howling like a dog and rolling around on the floor a lot.

n 1976, she moved to Los Angeles. She continued her interest in acting and studied with Judy Mcglaughlin, Lynette Katselas and later with Stephanie Feury. She received encouraging feedback from a number of auditions, including coming in 2nd for the TV series, Fame. Her dance audition with Debbie Allen was a career high. In 1985, she was lucky enough to win a role alongside Katey Sagal and Pamela Adlon in the Jay Gruska/Paul Gordon musical, "Backstreet." For one of the performances, she performed with Miguel Ferrer, who understudied the 'Gang Leader' for a weekend. Other theater highs include a 'starred review' performance for "Cowboy Mouth" in Pasadena.

Her first film role was a cameo in the cult classic, "Better Off Dead." She played the 'geek next door', Joanne Greenwald, and got to do something she would never do in real life, refuse a date with John Cusack! She almost wound up on the cutting room floor, and is forever grateful to writer/director Savage Steve Holland for picking her to play the role

Her television roles included "Silver Spoons," "227," and later, "Felicity." She appeared as a jaded fashion commentator on the children's show "2 HIP 4 TV." Her character was interview…
